Today I introduce you to my special diet that makes you fitter, better looking, bringing out your personality and let you enjoy life more.
I started it in 2013 and up till now I don´t regret it. I can just see positive effects on my life and hope you may join me in a few points.
- I quit my alarm clock
Getting to know my body’s needs and getting up when my body fills like it is awesome. That doesn´t mean I sleep in all the time. My body needs around 6 hours of sleep and then gets up again. How about yours?
Another thing, if you need to have an alarm clock to get up. Our brain works or better sleeps in cycles. One full cycle is around 1 ½ h. That means with 6 hours of sleep I have a need for 4 full cycles. If you need more try to set the alarm clock after a full cycle to not interrupt a REM sleep phase, that´s when you get up crashed and annoyed.

What you need:
250 ml oat drink or soy drink
50 ml water
60 g Sugar
1 Tablespoon backing soda
80 g vegan whipped cream (you don´t need to whip it)
How you do it:
You just need to blend everything together while your waffle iron is heating up. Bake the waffles for 4-6 min and off you go.
For the chocolate version you just add 3 tablespoons of tablespoons of cocoa powder and a bit more sugar, blend it and you are done.
The first thing people ask me, when they hear that I don´t own a TV is “What do you do without a TV?”
A great questions that offers me a lot of unsaid knowledge about the person who is asking me that questions. Things that run through my mind are:
- How much time, does that person spend on her or his own?
- How many books does that person read?
- What is that person escaping from by watching TV all the time?
- What will happen, if I would take away the TV?
And many more things that come up in my transactional analysis brain…

- I read books.
In my case a lot of scientific books or articles. I´m not much of a fiction or love books reader. I have books laying around everywhere. Normally I read more than one at the time.

Most of the time people throw stuff away, even if it´s perfectly fine. As I like to have things for life I don´t like seeing things been thrown out. I always try to find someone who can use the things or I even reuse them for myself.
I worked that very well with my office. The only thing I still needed was a sink and a closet. In case of my office kitchen, I knew I didn´t want to spend much money and I also knew I will never get my company color as a kitchen closet. What to do then??? Right, having a look at ebay classified!
I love pumpkins. I didn´t use to like them, a lot of people that I know didn´t. The reason, yes, if you don´t know how to process or cook a pumpkin, it taste like crap.
You eat it and you decide to not like it! I´m luckily a person who gives everything a second chance and especially food! I always want to try it on my own, before really disliking something. My two favorite pumpkin cultivars are Butternut and Hokkaido.
How to plant pumpkins
I always start my pumpkins end of March. You just need to put some soil into a left over toilet paper role (have a look here).

After cleaning up everything the banks as well as all the dried stuff around it, I just waited to see what happens.
- Never underestimate nature.
You don´t need to plan so much and bring in new plants all at once. It´s better to first lean back and wait what nature will have for you on its own.
You will see some really great things happen, I promise you! After making space from all the weedy and space consuming plants the fern and also other plants emerged again like plenty of yellow iris or the flowering from the yucca filamentosa.
I´m not a fan of resolutions, I´m rather the person who goes for long term goals. In 2015 I started on some long term goals regarding minimalism.
I don´t take it the way, that you need to change your life from one minute to the next. Most of the time it would be to radical and I would have a big chance to fail. Just to mention, me failing is not an option, period.
So in summer of 2015 I started to look at my cloths thinking do you really need that. I tend to see something and thing “ahhh how pretty, you need to try that on!!!”
To start with my long term goal I had a detailed look into my closet, which has 7 doors and all of them are filled with cloths (some for the evening, the garden, summer, winter etc.). Than I thought to myself:
