Why are you doing what you are doing? How did you know it will pay off?
Questions that I get asked very often. It´s not just about my job or my garden or my hobbies.
For example I got asked by a friend of mine who also runs her own company “why don´t you just buy that? What´s the reason you have your basic lifestyle if you could just buy it?”
Another friend of mine ask me “But why do you want to drive an electric car and do all of the ecological things? What for, who is giving you credit for that? Who is seeing it?”
That poem by Robert Eckstein is a perfect fit to my lovely garden!
There will be animals, circumstances and especially people
that bump into me.
Some might pee or shit at me, some give intentionally a kick, others cut off my branches. There will be times I get hurt.
The tree doesn’t stop to produce her gift of oxygen out of revenge.
She knows that, only hurt people hurt others as a silent cry for help.
So, the only revenge I will give them is that the rudeness & pain won’t extinguish my gift of light.
I will shine even brighter than before so that even the sun is looking at me.
I´m German for us bread needs to come in all sizes and shapes, all day every day. Being abroad and not having our beloved bread is a torture. I have to say no one really no one bakes bread like Germans. There are even countries like Sweden where bread is baked with sugar……gross.
So here you go with the easy German style, the sourdough bread follows later.
What you need:
400 g spelt flour
350 g rye flour
200 g seeds (sun flower, pumpkin and/or walnut)
400 ml warm water
50 g yeast
1 ½ Tablespoon salt
a planet of mine
for a very long time
out of space and mind
a planet so kind
right in the middle
a heart that´s so little
protected from a wall
that stands tough & tall
it keeps everything in order
so it´s hard to overcome the border
to break free and see the stars
it seemed like taking a travel to mars
looking back I see so much more
which makes my body feel sore
all green and blue
never seemed to be true
now I see it with my own eyes
and it doesn´t look like a disguise
sometimes you need to travel far
even if it feels like to another star
Today I introduce you to my special diet that makes you fitter, better looking, bringing out your personality and let you enjoy life more.
I started it in 2013 and up till now I don´t regret it. I can just see positive effects on my life and hope you may join me in a few points.
- I quit my alarm clock
Getting to know my body’s needs and getting up when my body fills like it is awesome. That doesn´t mean I sleep in all the time. My body needs around 6 hours of sleep and then gets up again. How about yours?
Another thing, if you need to have an alarm clock to get up. Our brain works or better sleeps in cycles. One full cycle is around 1 ½ h. That means with 6 hours of sleep I have a need for 4 full cycles. If you need more try to set the alarm clock after a full cycle to not interrupt a REM sleep phase, that´s when you get up crashed and annoyed.
for 4 pieces
What you need:
250 ml oat drink or soy drink
50 ml water
60 g Sugar
1 Tablespoon backing soda
80 g vegan whipped cream (you don´t need to whip it)
How you do it:
You just need to blend everything together while your waffle iron is heating up. Bake the waffles for 4-6 min and off you go.
For the chocolate version you just add 3 tablespoons of tablespoons of cocoa powder and a bit more sugar, blend it and you are done.
The first thing people ask me, when they hear that I don´t own a TV is “What do you do without a TV?”
A great questions that offers me a lot of unsaid knowledge about the person who is asking me that questions. Things that run through my mind are:
- How much time, does that person spend on her or his own?
- How many books does that person read?
- What is that person escaping from by watching TV all the time?
- What will happen, if I would take away the TV?
And many more things that come up in my transactional analysis brain…
Things that I do not having a TV: (Fotos zu allen Punkten)
- I read books.
In my case a lot of scientific books or articles. I´m not much of a fiction or love books reader. I have books laying around everywhere. Normally I read more than one at the time.
